šŖ Letās Be Honest for a Second…
When people find out I clean homes for a living, their reaction usually falls into one of two categories:
“Oh, Iād be too embarrassed to let you into my house!”
“You must have the cleanest home ever!”
Spoiler alert: My house is… fine. (Letās just say the sock gnomes live there too.) But when I am in work modeāwalking into someone elseās homeāitās like my brain flips a switch. I canāt help it. Years of cleaning professionally have trained my eyes to zero in on certain things the moment I step inside.
So today, Iām spilling the mop water. š§½ These are the first things I notice in a ādirtyā roomānot to judge, but because thatās where the grime loves to hide.
š 1. Baseboards: The Silent Dirt Collectors
Theyāre like the eyebrows of a roomāmost people forget they exist, but once theyāre clean, everything looks better.
If your baseboards have turned from white to grayish-brown, I will notice. And no, you’re not aloneāalmost everyone ignores them. Thatās why theyāre on our Deluxe Deep Clean checklist. Youāre welcome. š
š 2. Ceiling Fans: The Lazy Tornado Blades
Ceiling fans are so sneaky. From a distance, they look fine. But tilt your head back? BAMādust bunnies clinging for dear life.
And letās not forget: the moment you flip that switch, those dust clumps go flying like glitter at a toddlerās birthday party.
šæ 3. The Shower Situation
Weāve all been there. You scrub and scrub, and somehow the hard water stains win again. But when I peek into a shower and see soap scum, mildew in the corners, or shampoo bottle buildup, I know this bathroom has been putting up a fight for a while.
Donāt worryāweāve got the tools (and the patience) to win that war.
šļø 4. Pet HairāItās Practically Furniture
I love pets. I am a pet enthusiast. But I swear some of your dogs are double agents for fur production.
When your sofa has a fine coating of āgolden retriever glitter,ā I notice. So does your guest in black pants. Itās one of the biggest giveaways that your home is overdue for a deeper clean.
š 5. Switch Plates & Doorknobs: The Grime Zone
Think about itāyour hands touch these all the time. Which is why they often get that sticky, slightly gray tinge that screams āIāve been here since last flu season.ā
Cleaning pros like us wipe them down without a second thought. Youāll be amazed how much cleaner a room feels when those little details shine.
š§“ 6. The Kitchen Sink Tells a Story
Thereās something about an overflowing sponge holder, mystery crumbs around the faucet, or a discolored drain that speaks to the soul of a kitchen. It says: āIāve seen some things.ā
We notice. And we respect the sinkās journey. But we also deep clean it into a comeback story.
š¦ 7. The āDrop Zoneā
That one surface in every houseāthe kitchen counter, the entryway bench, the dining room tableāthat becomes a graveyard for unopened mail, rogue receipts, unmatched socks, and possibly an air fryer instruction manual from 2022.
I notice it because I have one too. But itās also a big visual cue that clutter is taking overāand it makes a space feel dirtier than it might actually be.
š Itās Not About Perfection
Hereās the thing: Iām not walking in with a white glove and a judgmental stare. Iām walking in with a plan.
As a cleaning professional, Iām trained to find the grime so you donāt have to. The goal isnāt to make you feel badāitās to take that stress off your plate so you can come home and say:
āAhhh⦠this feels better.ā
⨠Ready for a Reset?
If any of the above made you glance nervously at your baseboards or side-eye your ceiling fanādonāt panic. Youāre not alone, and you donāt have to tackle it all yourself.
Our Deluxe Deep Clean service was built for moments like this. Weāll handle the details, so you can breathe easy.
